What we collect

Your email address, the tasks and dates you enter, and your selected time zone. When something goes wrong in the app, we also record a short technical note, described below.

How we use it

Solely to run the product: to show your tasks on the right day, send you a sign-in link, and keep your history straight.

  • No advertising or ad networks.
  • No analytics or tracking scripts.
  • No sharing with third parties.
  • Error reports go to our own server, never to a third party.

Error reports

If YesterDone hits an unexpected error, or if saving something fails, it automatically sends a short technical note to our server. The note says what went wrong and the part of the app you were on. For a failed save it records which request failed, never what was in it.

It does not read your tasks, what you type into forms, your searches, or anything else on the page. We use these reports only to find and fix problems, and we do not share them with anyone else.

Signing in

Sign-in is by magic link only. You enter your email address and we send you a one-time link (and a short code) to sign in. There are no passwords to set, store, or lose.

Cookies

We use only the sign-in and session storage the app needs to keep you logged in. Because we run no analytics or advertising, there are no tracking cookies, which is why you never see a "we use cookies" pop-up asking you to agree.

Data retention

Your data stays on your account until you delete it. Deleting a task takes it off your current list right away, but a copy remains in your task history, so looking back at a past day still shows the task as it was then. Deleting your account removes your data from the app. Backups age out on a routine schedule.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your data or your whole account. Email [email protected] and we will take care of it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a material way, the date above will update and, where practical, we will let you know.
